Here is an interesting problem that I encountered few years back, but still haven't solved it.
A paper when folded in equal halves, a strain develops within the paper material that prevents it from folding it further. The problem demanded that this strain doesn't depend on the dimensions of the paper, but on its quality.
That is, if we take two same quality papers, one of them 10 times of the other one, then after folding both of them 5 times we will obtain the same amount strain generated in both of them.
If anyone has got a proof, or a link containing the proof of this interesting problem, please comment.
